Construction Update: 250 Assay St

Generation Park’s first for-lease office building in Redemption Square, our 52-acre lifestyle district, recently reached a new milestone. The five-story curtain wall office building received its first exterior glass installation.

From behind the glass, employees at 250 Assay St. can enjoy views of the plaza in Redemption Square via the 9’6″ floor-to-ceiling windows. Each 17,600-square-foot floor is efficiently laid out so businesses get the most out of their real estate. One whole floor of office space, floor 3, is available for lease starting with space starting at 1,950-square-feet and going up to 17,600-square-feet.

250 Assay St. is slated for completion in June 2017 and serves as the new home to Apache Industrial Services Inc. and McCord Development’s corporate headquarters. The building will also be home to multiple dining options, with full-service restaurant space available on the ground floor in the 7,600-square-foot glass-enclosed “Jewel Box” space.

Not only is the five-floor office building situated in the heart of the pedestrian-friendly Redemption Square, but employees and visitors will also have access to a multitude of amenities. These include fitness and child care centers, a Courtyard by Marriott hotel, and luxury apartments. And, Generation Park, Lake Houston’s urban center, is conveniently located:

  • 5 minutes to I-59, Highway 90, Lake Houston, and the Golf Club of Houston

  • 10 minutes to I-10 and the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

  • 15 minutes to the Port of Houston

  • 20 minutes to Downtown Houston, the Theater District, Minute Maid Park and the Toyota Center

We are not the only ones excited, either. The building earned headlines in the Houston Business JournalCommunity ImpactAtascocita Observer and ReBusiness Online. Both regional and Houston media outlets are ready to celebrate this major stepping stone in the development of the Lake Houston area, a major catalyst of growth in Houston.
