August Construction Update: Projects Wrapping Up and New Starts

We’ve had a busy summer so far, both with wrapping up and starting new projects. On the wrapping up side, 250 Assay Street, the 86,523 SF mixed-use office building has reached substantial completion. The office buildout for McCord Development’s new headquarters on the 2nd floor is well underway with occupancy expected at the end of August. The anchor tenant, Apache Industrial Services, will begin construction on their new headquarters on the 4th and 5th floors very shortly with occupancy expected before the end of the year.

Last week our Director of Marketing, Ian Adler, took Generation Park’s Facebook followers on a behind the scenes preview tour of 250 Assay Street last week. If you haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, check it out in the video above.

Only the third floor of office remains available for lease with suites ranging from ±2,000 to ±17,600 SF. We are seeking a restaurateur interested in opening a flagship dining experience in the one-of-a-kind 7,677 SF “Jewel Box” restaurant space. Click here for photos of the “Jewel Box”.

Not far from 250 Assay Street and Redemption Square in Generation Park is the 25-acre Lockwood Business Park. Site clearing has been completed, and the footings for GHX Industrial’s 143,500 SF Houston distribution center and headquarters have started going in the ground. GHX is expected to move into their new building in the Lockwood Business Park at the end of 2017. The Lockwood Business Park is located on Lockwood Road just south of West Lake Houston Parkway and across from TechnipFMC’s 173-acre campus. Three additional build-to-suit industrial and flex-office buildings are available for lease in Lockwood Business Park with space available from ±6,400 to 57,600 SF.
